Problem Solution Overview

We performed testing between the AccuLoad III-X device, configured as a Modbus RTU Slave, and our inRAx MVI56-MCM, configured as a Modbus RTU Master. Using the ‘Virtual Load Rack’ liquid-flow simulator provided by FMC Technologies, we could simulate a typical truck terminal load transaction. Our testing generated the following results:

We successfully communicated with the AccuLoad device (see below for configuration parameters used during the testing.)

Our tests proved the Accuload III-X properly supports Modbus functions 2,3,4,5, and 6 (other functions may be supported, but were not tested.

For our test, we connected COM Port 3 of the AccuLoad III-X to Application Port 1 of the MVI56-MCM Modbus module. We used the AccuMate software provided by FMC Technologies to configure the AccuLoad III-X.
